Adapted studying

If you are limited in attending education due to circumstances, you can apply for adapted studying at uu77. That means providing you with education and exam provisions.

uu77 looks at what adapted studying provisions are necessary, appropriate and feasible for each student. Provisions may vary from person to person and according to the study programme or course. Examples of possible provisions include:

  • priority when registering for tutorials;
  • access to online lectures (if available);
  • less strict deadlines;
  • (partial) exemption of obligatory attendance.

Who might be eligible

You may be eligible for adapted studying if you:

Next steps

After the meeting with the student counsellor, you will discuss the adapted studying advice with the student advisor of your programme/faculty. The advice is customised, so each situation might be different.

  • Has the adapted studying advice been granted? Then make an appointment with the student advisor of your programme/faculty.
  • Discuss the possibilities together with the student advisor. You will discuss what is appropriate and necessary in your situation. Adjusting the study load can be part of the agreements you make with the student advisor. In some situations, approval from the examination board or programme management will be required.

Please note: In some cases, contact with student counsellors is not necessary (see above) and you can contact your student advisor directly.
