I am a computational cognitive scientist. I have interests that span computational modelling and theorising (and their scientific roles) within psychology, artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and the cognitive sciences on the whole.

My main research comprises a) a metatheoretical understanding of the contribution of computational and formal modelling, specifically to the neuro- and cognitive sciences, as well as to the computational sciences generally, b) computationally modelling cognitive capacities, such as those that give rise to categorization and conceptual organization, and c) a critical perspective on trends and ideological positions with artificial intelligence broadly construed. I use a variety of methods from computational, formal, and mathematical (e.g. artificial neural networks) to literary and philosophical (e.g. conceptual engineering).
